2010 Corton Renardes from Domaine Leroy, Burgundy, France

The 2010 vintage for the Corton Renardes Grand Cru vineyards embodies the transcendent harmony of Mother Nature and human artisanship, but perhaps in no other domaine is this synergy more pronounced than in the wines of Domaine Leroy. Having devoted many years to exploring the finest expressions of Burgundy's terroir, it is the distinction of vintages like 2010 that elevates my appreciation to new altitudes.

Epitome of Elegance: Pioneering Purity

Within the tapestry of Domaine Leroy's esteemed portfolio, the 2010 Corton Renardes ascends as a wine that deftly conveys both the grandeur and grace that Burgundy purists seek. Following a season hallmarked by temperate sun-infused days and crisp, clear nights, the fruit reached a climax of ripeness intertwined with vivacious acidity – a balance heralded in top-tier vintages.

A Study of Substance: An Iconic Creation

The 2010 rendition rouses the senses with a complex bouquet: entwining dark cherry with earthy undertones, there emanates an almost ethereal spice bouquet that nods to its storied terre. On the tongue lies an articulate composition; a lithe structure hosting seamless tannins which deliver an impressive length – none other than what we've come to expect from the distinguished handling synonymous with Domaine Leroy.

An engaging enigma, this wine's generous character offers sufficient allure for current consumption, yet equally bears the latent structure promising tremendous potential for those with patience. For serious investors and collectors, herein lies an opportunity for an astute addition to one's cellar. The 2010 Corton Renardes posits itself emphatically as a bottle meriting meticulous contemplation for those pursuing Burgundy's most revered offerings.

In summation, I stand before you with conviction that seasoned aficionados and discerning investors alike should give credence to the 2010 Corton Renardes from Domaine Leroy. It stands as a towering testament of vinicultural finesse for the region; delivered in a period outlined by precision and contained exuberance – core tenets of longevity and storied evolution in bottle.

The 2010 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru is already comparatively expressive today, wafting from the glass with aromas of red berries, cassis, incense and musk, with bass notes of sweet grilled meat emerging with time in the glass. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and bright, built around a beautiful line of racy acidity and framed by fine-grained, delicately chalky tannins. It's very intense and long.
